About our Application Programme Interface
Registry API overview
Our Registry API provides an alternative route to myRegistry applications in the JFSC Companies Registry.
Our API can be used by:
trust companies
regulated service providers
Benefits of using our Registry API
The role of the Registry API is to provide an efficient and secure channel to exchange information with us and to ensure that the central registers remain current and accurate.
Key Benefits
direct integration between your internal systems and the JFSC central Registry
flexibility to integrate with your own internal processes
reduce resource requirement, remove duplicate effort required to key-up data
reduce human-error element
simplified bulk-updates
enhanced ability to maintain central records
ability to search/query the central registers via the API
reduce staff training requirement (myRegistry)
potential to achieve simplified filing for your staff while maintaining enhanced security measures
The Registry API is free to use, returns live and real-time data, and is simple to use and understand.
How the Registry API can help your business
The Registry API enables Trust Companies and regulated service providers to integrate their current software system directly to the JFSC Companies Registry.
This approach provides several efficiencies such as:
accessing live and real-time Registry data via
automating manual tasks and streamlining processes
improving user experience for your staff
How it works
The Registry API is a Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) based suite of services.
The JFSC issue API users with unique security credentials, such as an API Key and client signing certificate, to ensure that the data transmitted is encrypted and can only be used by authenticated users.
Currently our Registry API provides the following services:

The on-boarding process
1 Complete application form and review terms of use
2 Once approved request a Digicert client signing security certificate
3 We will provide you with a unique API key and test pack
4 Digicert send you a unique Client Signing certificate to use on your software solution
5 Complete mandatory testing on our Test environment
6 Retrieve live data and submit updates for your entities
Registry API Integration
We are mindful that external third parties (Technology Partners) may build middleware tools to provide an alternative option for regulated service providers that do not have the time or resource available to directly build their own API solutions.
We welcome collaboration with your Technology Partners and provide them with access to our test environment to develop their software in a secure place.
API environments and testing
Live environment
Our live environment allows users to retrieve data for the entities that they are registered as nominated persons for and make submissions to update their data.
Test environment
Our test environment runs the same API versions as live allow software developers to test their integration with the Registry APIs in a safe place.
In this environment we ask users to undertake some mandatory test scenarios to ensure your integration is fit for purpose prior to making live submissions.
