UK moves to a single sanctions list on 28 January 2026
From 28 January 2026, the current UK Sanctions List (UKSL) will serve as the sole authoritative source for all UK sanctions designations, and the OFSI Consolidated List will be retired along with its search tool.
UK asset-freeze designations are effective immediately in Jersey. Supervised persons should therefore update their systems and controls to adapt to these changes to ensure continued compliance with sanctions obligations.
Next steps
1. Switch to the UK Sanctions List
- begin using the UKSL as your primary source of designations data for sanctions screening no later than 28 January 2026
2. Update systems and controls
- remove reliance on the OFSI Group ID and configure your systems to use the UKSL Unique ID and Sanction Type fields
- amend your internal sanctions compliance policies and procedures accordingly
3. Stay informed
- ensure your organisation remains subscribed to receive both our alerts and those from the Jersey Gazette
- sign up for UK sanctions email alerts to receive updates on additions and changes to the UKSL
