Deregistration of Schedule 2 business - 6 week notice
If you want to deregister your business, you need to email our Authorisation team at least six weeks before the business closes. This should include the following information;
the reason for ending the business activity
the date when the activities for which the Registered Person is registered under the Proceeds of Crime (Supervisory Bodies)(Jersey) Law 2008 (POCSL 2008) will cease
confirmation that the Registered Person will not undertake the activity for which it is registered subsequent to the date of cessation
confirmation that the Registered Person is not in breach of any requirements of the Money Laundering (Jersey) Order 2008 (MLO 2008)
confirmation that the Registered Person has complied, and will continue to comply, with the requirements under the MLO 2008, including, for example, relevant record-keeping requirements
confirmation that all outstanding fees owed to us are up-to-date and have been paid. Outstanding fees can be paid through myJFSC.
