How to apply for a no objection

To apply for a no objection you need to complete your application in full, accurately and without any false or misleading information.
You may be subject to criminal prosecution and or regulatory action if you fail to provide us with the information we require.
Information required
The information requested in this application is collected under the powers provided to us under Article 8 of the Financial Services Commission (Jersey) Law 1998 and additional provisions in other legislation. The JFSC reserves the right to accept alternative documentation, where it considers appropriate
We need to assess whether you are fit to be a key or principal person. You need to provide us with the following information:
criminal proceedings
civil proceedings
business and employment matters
regulatory and other matters
You will need to confirm that you are aware that you may be subject to criminal prosecution and or regulatory action if:
you knowingly or recklessly provide false or misleading information to us, or
you fail to provide us with any information in your possession knowing or having reasonable cause to believe that it is relevant to the consideration of the application, or being reckless as to the same.
Consent
By submitting the application you are consenting for us to release any relevant information to any person, body or institution that we may approach, including the police, for the purposes of the application for a no objection.
Submission
If we need to clarify any aspect of your submitted information, we will send you a specific request detailing what we need from you and the format in which it should be delivered.
Notification of a no objection
We will only issue the no objection via myProfile. We will notify you to inform you of our decision.
You will need to inform your employer.
Date of new appointment
You need to notify us of the date your new appointment takes effect.
