We asked for your feedback on proposed amendments to the Investment Business Client Asset Order.
We received feedback from one respondent.
The feedback made minor recommendations for law drafting clarity and also raised a practical matter linked to the segregation of assets. We have reviewed this feedback and worked with the law drafter to incorporate these recommendations. These minor changes do not impact the scope or policy intention outlined in our consultation.
Next steps
The Minister for External Relations and Financial Services will now consider the change in legislation. Upon approval, a transitional period of three months would apply. This transitional period is reflective of the speed with which the Order will be brought in to force.
